Purpose

Anchor Point Shipping publishes constructive, commercially useful news and analysis for professionals in shipping and maritime logistics. Our aim is to be a trusted reference point rather than the fastest headline.

Sourcing

Stories originate from a curated list of industry sources, each assigned a reliability score that administrators review. Sources are used as discovery inputs; every article is an original editorial summary with the source clearly attributed and linked where appropriate.

We do not assume that a source is reliable simply because it publishes a feed. Sources with repeated accuracy problems are downgraded or removed.

Verification

Before publication, each article passes automated checks for factual consistency with its source, unsupported claims, fabricated quotations, untraceable figures and similarity to the source text. Articles that fail are blocked or routed to human review. These systems are designed for the highest practical level of factual reliability; they are not a guarantee of absolute accuracy.

We do not knowingly publish defamatory claims and we seek to verify material facts before publication.

What we do not publish

Allegations, accusations, rumours, gossip or unverified claims about companies or individuals. Stories involving legal disputes, criminal allegations, casualties, groundings or detentions are routed to human review and are not published automatically. We never rewrite negative news as positive news or manipulate facts to change the tone of a story.

Market figures

Independence

Commercial arrangements never influence editorial selection. Sponsored content, if introduced, will be clearly labelled.
