Pool operator adds six MR tankers as product tanker trades lengthen
The additions bring the pool's medium-range fleet above 60 vessels amid continued demand for long-haul clean product voyages.

A leading product tanker pool has taken six additional MR vessels under commercial management, its operator said, expanding its medium-range fleet as clean petroleum product trades continue to lengthen.
The pool operator pointed to sustained tonne-mile demand from shifting refinery locations and trade patterns, which have increased the average voyage length for MR tonnage on routes linking the Middle East, India and Europe.
Entering a pool allows owners to access a wider chartering network and smooth earnings through shared revenue distribution, while retaining technical management of their vessels.
Market sources said pool participation has been attractive to smaller owners in the current environment, where earnings volatility between regions has been pronounced.
The operator did not name the contributing owners but said the vessels are modern eco-design MRs, several equipped with scrubbers.
